Internet Explorer's Cache

To keep Internet Explorer running at it's best, make sure to periodically clean the cache. The cache stores graphics of sites you browse on the Internet, so the next time you revisit the site it will load the page much faster. But after extensive browsing the cache will become plugged, causing problems with browsing.

Cleaning The Cache - Version 3.0

1.) Click Options on the View menu in Internet Explorer.

2.) Click the Advanced tab, click Settings in the Temporary Internet Files area, and then click Empty Folder.

Cleaning The Cache - Version 5.0 and up

1.) Click Tools in the upper left corner of Internet Explorer.

2.) Click on Internet Options.

3.) In the Internet Options Properties window, click on Delete Files under Temporary Internet Folders.  Another window will appear stating "Delete All Temporary Internet Files" - click OK.

4.) When the hour glass returns, click OK to return to Internet Explorer.
